• Yahoo Delaying Email Delivery

    December 17th, 2007

Yahoo is delaying my emails to you. This is not good obviously as our emails of a time sensitive nature. I have submitted a request to Yahoo to address this delay, but do not know when it will be resolved.

In the meantime, please take the time to address this with Yahoo as a loyal user of their email. Visit this page and email customer service telling them you are getting your messages late from ‘alerts@nowinstock.net’ and ensure to explain that you are a confirmed subscriber. Also, point out that getting these alerts late is not acceptable for these time sensitive emails.

  • Sears Wii’s This Morning – 12/17

    December 17th, 2007

Sears has now been taken down as stock is no longer available.

Mobile Alerts being Late: It appears that we got our alerts too late because Twitter is under maintenance. One of those issues I guess we will just have to deal with. At least I didn’t receive mine till 7:50 AM this morning.

Google Groups Update Never Occurred: This one I am working on. The update did go out to the group, yet there was never a post made. There may be a few test posts that go out in this manner until I get the issue resolved. It is something within the email system.

I will update all here once I figure out the issue.

  • Sears had Wii’s In Stock

    December 15th, 2007

I have since removed the Sears Wii Wii Bundle from the tracker list as they are having the typical inventory issues over at Sears… Showing stock as available, when in reality it is not.  Once they rectrify this issue, I will turn it back on for tracking.

  • Server Transition Complete

    December 15th, 2007

UPDATE: Server transition is complete. If you have any issues, use the contact form to let me know.

I am currently working on the server. You may see times that are not correct.

  • Circuit City had Wii Stock But…

    December 14th, 2007

check your orders to ensure you have the Wii Console on your order. I tried to order as soon as I got the alert, and as I proceeded through the checkout, the console was sold out! However, they were still willing to send me everything else. Just to be safe, check your order or confirmation email to ensure the Console is there. Your cost should be at least $300+ for the bundle.

  • Buy.com and ToysRUs

    December 13th, 2007

Both stores had stock this morning. Unfortunately, both of these stores change their URLs for each of these bundles. As a result of the URL changes, my tracker misses them. If the URLs didn’t change, I would have picked it up.

Fortunately, thanks to the two users that sent in the URLs, I was able to add them. Unfortunaely, Buy.com sold out right after I added them.

I rely on users to send me new URLs for new console/bundles.  There is no way I could possibly monitor every store out there to see when a new bundle is released, hence why sometimes it takes longer for me to add these new units.

If you see stock I am not showing, send me the URLs via my contact form, and I will address it as soon as I possibly can. (P.S. I do work a day job.)

  • Sam’s Removed

    December 13th, 2007

I am removing Sam’s as  a result of their site working improperly.  They are showing stock available only after adding to the cart does it say no stock available. I will turn it back on when the system is working properly again.

  • Amazon Did Have Wii’s

    December 11th, 2007

Yes, folk Amazon did have Wii’s. Quite a few people have already thanked me.

If you went to the site around 5:16 PM, and saw no stock available, then you should have refreshed. Always stick around on a site and refresh. Sometimes my alerts can be faster than the Amazon site in going live. I will spare you the details, just stick around next time and REFRESH!

Also, if you were fortunate enough to get a Wii from Amazon, please unsubscribe from the alerts to open bandwidth for others.

    Thank you,
    Justin

  • Newegg Wii Combo?

    December 10th, 2007

Holy Comments! It will take me a while to go through these and moderate. There are a lot of dupes in here.

Yes, it was kind of bad with Newegg.com doing this, but it has been done before with other companies. They are just like any other company out there selling bundles. I showed $249.99 on the tracker and in the email, because that is what I saw there on the site. I will take down the price checking for Newegg.com to ensure that I am doing all I can on my end to not lead users into false hopes.

I would just like to state for the record that I have ordered from Newegg.com many times before for computer parts. I basically built my first PC ever from parts delivered by them over 4 years ago. They are a top-notch company for sure. Their customer service and delivery speed is well-known to be one of the best in the business.

In my eyes, they are right up there with Amazon. In fact, if I were Amazon, I might actually think about buying them to cover that end of the business where Amazon lacks.

  • Wii Email Alerts Now Through Google Groups

    December 9th, 2007

    All,

Wii Console/Bundle email alert subscriptions from now on will only be available through the Google Groups option. The emails I have currently in my own DB up to today will continue to receive alerts via my site (if it doesn’t crash), but it is RECOMMENDED that you also sign up to the Google Group.

The Google Group is NowInStockWiis. For those that need help, please follow these instructions.

As I mentioned above, previous subscribers may want to switch to the Group as well. This will ensure you have the best opportunity to receive alerts. I send emails in this order: Twitter (Mobile Alerts), Google Group, and finally my server. Since I only need to send one email to Twitter and Google Group which then relay alerts on to you, this only makes sense.

Please understand email and mobile alerts have may points of connection between my server and your inbox or phone. There may be times when one of those connections is slow. As a result, your email or mobile alerts may be delayed or never sent. You also always have the option to use the RSS Feed and a feed reader.

This email only pertains to those looking for Wii Console/Bundle alerts.

    Thank you,
    Justin
