I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Holiday. I hope that NowInStock.net was the cause for a lot of smiling little faces this morning.
I also wanted to thank everyone who has sent in the great comments over the past month or two. I used to be able to respond every single comment personally, but this past year it got to be too much. I cut off the time spent responding to comments at an hour to ensure I was not neglecting the site. BUT, I have read every single one of them and truly do appreciate every single one!
Enjoy the Holidays and a Happy New Year!
Justin
PS: Keep spreading the word to other about NowInStock.net. I am sure there are some disappointed little ones out there, and we still have time to rectify this! 😉
Okay, so early this morning I noticed that Walmart had switched to “Preorders”, even though their site continued to say “In Stock”. I fixed my checks to take this into consideration and to show that the unit was indeed a Preorder on my end. This afternoon at 4:00 EST I got the alert saying the Wii bundle was “In Stock”. Sure enough, I click the link to see this:
So why did my alert go off as “In Stock” if Preorder is on the site? This is exactly why I save a snapshot of the page when I spider. I check my spiders cache; and sure enough here is what was displayed to my spider:
There is NO preorder mention anywhere! This why you received an alert. Please check all Walmart notices to see whether it says Preorder or not before buying. If this continues, in other words happens once more, Walmart is getting removed from the tracker entirely.

Amazon this morning announced that Amazon Prime members will be able to shop online until 2:00 PM EST/11:00 AM PST Sunday December 23rd AND still get their items delivered on Monday the 24th of December. This is exactly the type of service I expect from Amazon and the Prime program.
So for all of you drop dead late shoppers, who are also Prime members, or are willing to join Prime, you have time to relax and shop basically all weekend!
Also, non-Prime members should always remember that Amazon Gift Cards/Certificates are always available. They can be sent via email, so they can be purchased right up until the very last minute!!!
Well it has happened a few times the last day or two, where I send out alerts because I see stock available, but when in reality it looks as though there is nothing. Here is what I see:
Clearly this shows Wii’s as available. I am going to leave the ones I track at Target live, but I can not guarantee stock will be available by the time you get to the site. I know it can be frustrating see the alerts and jumping on only to see no stock available, and it makes my tracker seem like it is not working. If this continues, I may end up just removing Target all together. It appears they are floating just like at Toys R Us and Sears, just not as frequently.

Attention Professional Photographers:
If you are in the market for a hard-to-find Canon 1Ds Mark III or Nikon D3, then check out the new digital camera tracker I just released. It will release you from all the stress of running from website to website everyday looking for these two extremely hard to find cameras.
Just sign up to the Google Group: NowInStockCameras, ensuring to select the read option of “Email (Approximately 1 email per day)“, and you will receive email alerts delivered right to your inbox letting you know when these two cameras are in stock and available for purchase. It is a completely FREE and SPAM-Free service. My spiders traverse the sites listed in the tracker all day long. As soon as I see stock available, I update the group and then you get an email sent to you. Simple.
Thank Jesse for suggesting this digital camera tracker.
If you are experiencing delayed email deliveries, I HIGHLY suggest that you subscribe to my Google Group: NowInStockWiis. The emails from the group appear to be coming in really quick, like mine used too. This does not apply to other products, just the Wii’s for now.
The delays are not on my end, but on most email providers. I have been targeted as SPAM recently. Yahoo is delaying my emails for 1 hour plus. AOL and EarthLink had me banned, but I think I may have had those lifted. I also believe Hotmail is doing the same thing.
Yes, Kmart has/had Wii’s In Stock!
And, I guess they didn’t have many. I will wait a little longer before I remove it from the tracker. Kmart being owned by Sears runs the same type of website… inventory issues.
7:48 – I guess they are proactive on the Kmart Team. Page is shut down already, I will leave it in the tracker.
I really hope everyone got their alerts in time. I was just out at lunch when I got a mobile alert. My friend had his Motorola Q so we jumped on a checked and sure enough there was stock available. If you received alerts late I am sorry. I also check my Yahoo account, and I received my Google Groups alert in box at 12:17, just one minute after my spiders first noticed Wii stock available.

Why do I keep seeing the Toys R Us bundle in stock and whenever I click on the link there is no stock?
I call this inventory floating. It happens with Walmat too. My spiders see the unit in stock when they make a visit and that is why I report it. If you want to take your chances, I suggest you sit on the site for a while and just continually hit refresh or press Ctrl + F5 to refresh the page every so often. You may just be lucky and see it in stock. I believe this floating typically occurs whenever older orders get canceled, human canceled or credit failure, and a unit is released back into the inventory system.
I have since taken down the bundle in order to eliminate history fill up. Clearly they have very few bundles available.
All, I just wanted to let you know this one is open to return errors. Typically, I wouldn’t even have added it because I have yet to see it in stock. But, I added it because we are nearer to Christmas and wanted to give everyone the best opportunity to get a Wii. Until I see the page with units in stock, I might throw errors your way for this bundle. Bear with it, you might just be able to snag one.
