Wii In Stock on Sunday at Amazon

Sunday, December 14th, 2008

I believe this is the first time in over two years that I have seen Amazon release Wii inventory on a Sunday morning or even a weekend. I assume they are targeting people who are getting up early to run out to their local stores that have Sunday ads claiming they have Wii stock available. Save yourself a trip to the store right now by jumping online and heading over to Amazon to get your Wii. Inventory has been in stock since 3:00 AM EST or 12:00 AM PST! Good luck!

New DS Lite Colors Added to Tracker

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

Yesterday evening I was asked by Bryan to add the new Nintendo DS Lite models to the DS Lite tracker, and I gladly did. Two new colors being released this holiday season are the Limited Edition Ice Blue w/Brain Age and Carrying Case along with Limited Edition Red Mario w/New Super Mario Bros game. Both units are open for order right now at Amazon and will ship out on Friday, November 28th.

Later today I will also be adding the Metallic Silver & Black Guitar Hero On Tour Special Edition which only appears to be offered at Best Buy and Circuit City. By the time you finish reading this they might already be in the tracker.

As these units are officially released, I will monitor inventories to see if I need to add any additional stores to the tracker. If you prefer, sign up to receive FREE alerts when they are available in stock.

Sears Wii Fit Inventory

Monday, November 24th, 2008

Sears is back to their old tricks again. I always hesitate in keeping the Wii Fit tracking on at Sears because their inventory system stinks. This is why all who are subscribed to the Wii Fit alerts for Sears or the Google Group received alerts this past weekend. This is also why I make note on the Wii Fit tracker under the Sears listing that states “Sears inventory system is NOT good. May result in error.” This is not a lie. Once again this weekend the tracker picked up stock being available at Sears for the Wii Fit, however in order to get one you will need to be really lucky.

My suggestion for the future Sears alerts is to sit on the pageand continue to keep trying by refreshing the web page. Hopefully after one of those refreshes you might get lucky and snag one.

If you think that my tracker doesn’t work, below is a cached snapshot of the page that I store every time stock is found to be in stock. Take a look for yourself to see what my tracker saw. Click on the image to enlarge.

Wii In Stock Everywhere…Wii Fit Not Quite Yet

Monday, November 17th, 2008

The times of the Nintendo Wii being out of stock seem to have come to an end. As of right now, it appears the Wii clearly has enough stock available at a variety of online stores including Amazon and Best Buy retaining inventory well over multiple days.

With the down economy resulting in deflation and the rising US Dollar value, I think Nintendo, after 2 years, has decided to finally flood the market here in the United States to capitalize on this increased dollar value.

Wii Fit on the other hand is another story. The Wii Fit in stock time has gradually increased over the last few weeks for sure. Recently Amazon had Wii Fit units in stock for over 4 hours with Best Buy matching that number. This is the longest time frame NowInStock.net has seen since the release of the unit. Is the down economy putting a damper on such purchases or are more units just available. I am sure in the next few weeks will get a better understanding for sure as more and more people truly being their holiday shopping. Will Nintendo do the same with Wii Fit as they have done with the Wii? Will inventory begin to flood stores? I remember reading that Nintendo was going to start pulling inventories from Europe and start pushing more units to the US. In a matter of a few weeks, the Wii Fit might also be very easy to find.

Subscribers of NowInStock.net Wii Mobile Alerts via Twitter:
As a result of these high inventory levels, there is no longer a need to utilize Twitter for mobile alerts. I will continue to monitor inventory closely, and if need be, I will turn the mobile alerts back on. Inventory will have to diminish, but this is something I do not envision this holiday season.

World Tour Band Kit for Xbox 360 In Stock; Wii Version Still Elusive

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

Have you been stumbling trying to find Guitar Hero World Tour Band Kit for the XBox 360 or the Wii? No need to continue the charades, NowInStock.net has the insight to find you this unit at retail price without all the hassles.

While Amazon and other big box retailers continue to sell out of the newly released Guitar Hero World Tour Band Kit, there is one place that is always good to check if stock is still available, RedOctane.com. Red Octane is the publisher of Guitar Hero and was a saving grace last holiday season when they had inventory and others didn’t. The best part is you pay retail price and get FREE Shipping. This is the major reason that NowInStock.net continues to track inventory status at Red Octane. Their inventory is unparalleled when it comes to Guitar Hero products. This doesn’t mean they do not run out of stock, just that they will have it more frequently than other stores. At the time of writing this post, Guitar Hero World Tour for Xbox 360 was still in stock, while the Wii version of the game continues to be elusive and was last seen in stock at Amazon on October 31st for a few minutes.

Check out NowInStock.net’s Guitar Hero World Tour Tracker for in stock avaialbility of all versions. If the unit you are looking for is not in stock, sign up for the FREE email alerts and as soon as stock is available we will shoot you an email.

Recent Amazon Alerts and Availabilty of Wii and Wii Fit

Friday, August 29th, 2008

I wanted to shed some light on the recent alerts that have gone out for Amazon for both the Wii and Wii Fit. These units have indeed been in stock, just not that many at a given time. These are most likely the result of canceled orders from Amazon or customer cancels. When the units are released back into the system, there are very few units in stock. As a result, my spiders pick up that stock, but by the time the majority of you get the alert and make it to the site, the stock is already gone and it looks like I am throwing errant alerts. This is not the case.

Every time I spider a page and see stock available, I store a cached snapshot of the page to ensure I am not throwing these errors. Below you can see the most recent cached snapshots for both the Wii and Wii Fit. Also, when it comes to the Wii, Target has been selling Wii’s through Amazon, but when they do, they only release about 5 or less at any given time. This was the cause a week or two back when Amazon Wii alerts were going nuts.

Again, this is just part of the tracker business. Remember, you are using the trackers as a backup to normal Wii and Wii Fit hunting so limit your expectations, but at the same time remember we have been successful for thousands of people.

Hang in there, NowInStock.net will get you one!

Wii Fit Mobile TXT Alerts

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

I have just completed the addition of mobile TXT alerts for the Wii Fit Tracker via Twitter. To sign up for these alerts, please visit the Twitter Alerts page for all the instructions. For those of you already familiar Wii mobile alerts of the past, login to your Twitter account and follow “NISWiiFit” within Twitter to receive the alerts. Do not forget to “turn on” Device Enabled under your Following list.

For less internet savy people, Twitter is a web service/micro blogging platform I use to send out mobile alerts to users. By creating an account at Twitter, entering your mobile phone number, and following my Wii Fit account at Twitter (NISWiiFit) you will be able to receive TXT alerts whenever the Wii Fit becomes available. If this is your first time using Twitter, or need a refresher, please read ALL the instructions on the Twitter Alerts page.

PLEASE NOTE: Not all stores are set up to be alerted via mobile alerts. Only those marked within the tracker with a “(twitter_15.png)” after them will be sent via mobile alerts. This helps limit the number of messages you receive.

New Products – Guitar Hero World Tour & Nikon D700

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

I am back in the maintenance and working mode again; and quite frankly, I am loving it!

I have added two new products to the site, if you couldn’t tell from the title of the post. The two new products are the Guitar Hero World Tour Tracker and the Nikon D700 Tracker. The GH World Tour is not going to be released until October 27th, but I wanted to get a tracker up ASAP so that people would know it is coming and where they can preorder. I have a feeling this is going to be a big one this holiday season, if the economy doesn’t get in the way.

The Nikon D700 tracker was requested by two people. The unit will not be released until August, maybe a little earlier, maybe a little later. I have help the professional/pro-am photography community in the past, and there is no reason to stop now.

If you want either of these products, just sign up for the free email alerts and I will let you know when they are in stock. Or, if you choose, I have the preorder tracking on so you have options now. Both products also have Google Groups setup as an option to receive alerts. I implemented Google Groups as an option because the group alerts are MUCH QUICKER. The downfall, is that you can not specify which stores or models you want, so emails can get a little redundant but I will control this from my end as inventory demands are met. I highly suggest all of you use this option when it is available for any of the tracked products.

By the end of the week I will be adding another product, the MSI Wind Laptop, which is also in demand and stock is very limited.
